Watercolor Painting In-Person: Our Yellow Warblers

Come join Ronna in-person to paint, as she introduces several techniques on how to paint birds in watercolor. Spring is in the air, so let’s celebrate the warmer days with the yellow warblers and learn how to use a limited palette of yellows and violets.
This class is appropriate for intermediate and ambitious beginners.
These inquisitive, flighty, little yellow birds can be challenging to identify. One way to gain knowledge of the subtle differences between the yellow warblers is to do drawing studies and paint sketches in fine detail. Why not tap into your left brain and get creative with your bird identification skills while painting these lovely little birds in watercolor? We will look at several yellow warbler species and do small-scale paintings during this four-hour, in-person watercolor painting class.
The birds will be painted from photographs supplied by Ronna as she explains the step-by-step process she has mastered in painting birds. In this three-hour class, students will paint several studies and one final painting. At the end of each class, there will be time to critique everyone’s work and get supportive feedback from Ronna and other classmates.
Ronna strives to build an atmosphere of learning by encouraging students to take risks, showing support and encouragement, and working alongside the class to assist in understanding watercolor painting.
