Embark on an unforgettable overnight adventure where you’ll find yourself at Marmot Cabin, a gem tucked into the Mount Hood Wilderness. For three nights and four days, this camp will take you on an immersive exploration into the unique ecology the Cascades. Sharpen your senses as we delve into the wonders of Mt. Hood National Forest and its surrounding ecosystems.

This week is all about butterflies and their friends. We’ll head to the fields, forests and streams in Bird Alliance of Oregon’s Wildlife Sanctuary with nets, hand lenses, and our curious minds to see how many amazing butterflies, ladybugs, and other arthropods we can find. Make butterfly crafts, have ladybug races, and play bug games with your new friends.

With it’s 5200 acres, Forest Park is a natural jewel waiting to be explored! As Forest Park Nature Detectives, we’ll scurry along the trails in search of the animals and plants that call Forest Park home! Learn how to read the signs that animals leave for us, which plants are useful to humans and animals and why Forest Park is such an important habitat to have right here in our city!
