Counselor in Training
Being a Camp Counselor-in-Training is a great way to gain new skills, meet new people and to help teach campers about nature. If you will be going in 10th-12th grade, we’d love for you to be part of our summer camp staff!
During this program you will learn valuable leadership skills in the field of Environmental Education. After a four day training at the start of the summer, you will be able to sign up as a Counselor fora minimum of 2 to 4 weeks this summer. You will get an introduction to the art of tracking, bird ID and wilderness awareness. Learn the craft of Environmental Education, including storytelling, camp songs, connecting kids with nature, and fun outdoor games. By the end of the program, you will have the tools you need to be a confident and effective Camp Counselor.

Cost for Week-Long Training and Participation (Please send check upon acceptance into the CIT program):
First Year CITs: $195 members/$215 non-members
Second Year CITs: $120 members/$140 non-members
Third Year CITs: Free (will be paid a $50 stipend per week worked)
