Greening Wilkes

Greening Wilkes is a collaborative project to engage the community surrounding Wilkes Park and Natural Area in East Portland to restore and revitalize green spaces throughout the neighborhood. Friends of Trees, Verde, Columbia Slough Watershed Council and Bird Alliance of Oregon have teamed up to lead complementary free events and outings for the local community to help in this restoration effort, learn about the amazing natural resources that are present, and help envision how the open spaces may add resilience and health to the community in the future.
