Urgent: Last Chance to Secure Hearing on Light Pollution in Oregon Legislature!

We need your help urgently to ensure that House Bill 3319 gets a hearing and work session in the Oregon Legislature. Please email Representative Marsh’s office TODAY, cc Representative Kotek’s office, and urge them to schedule a hearing and work session for HB 3319. This hearing and work session have to be scheduled by the end of the day tomorrow or the bill will die!

HB 3319 will create a committee to evaluate light pollution across Oregon and to develop legislation to curtail this growing threat to our night skies, our wildlife, and our own human health. Many other states have already established bills to protect their night skies it’s time for Oregon to get to work on addressing this issue. It is easier to protect our night skies while we still have them than to try to restore them once they are gone.

Take action:

Please send them a brief email today urging them to schedule a hearing and work session for HB 3319:

    • Let them know that advancing this work is important to you as an Oregonian
    • Ask them to schedule a hearing and work session for this bill
