March 18  (Mon), 6:30pm–8pm: Class in Heron Hall

March 23  (Sat), 9am–11:30am: Field Trip to Fernhill Wetlands

The sheer number of birds you can encounter in the field, with the many different ways to identify them, can be as overwhelming as the many different apps, websites, tools, and tricks that exist to help you decipher them.

This class aims to simplify the many tools available for bird ID - whether they are smartphone apps, websites, or good old fashioned paper books - to help you get prepared for being out in the field, understand what you’re seeing and hearing, and record meaningful observations for later.

We will also try out our new tools in the field, looking for waterfowl, raptors, and sparrows at Fernhill Wetlands!

Fee: $50 members / $65 non-members
Instructor: Brodie Cass Talbott
Limited 14 participants
