Waterfowl ID for Beginners: Local Dabblers and Divers

Nov 26 (Mon), 6:30-8:30pm: class in Heron Hall

Dec 2 & 9 (Sun), 9am-noon: local field trips

The Willamette Valley is home to more than 25 species of waterfowl. Join Laura Whittemore, long-time birder and teacher, and learn how to identify some of the more widespread and abundant waterfowl species using shape, plumage, habits, and habitat as guides. Then practice your skills at some of the best spots for finding these species in the Portland metro area. Experience the satisfaction of mastering identification of a notoriously difficult family of birds!

Fee for Class with Field Trips, limited to 14 participants per session:  $65 members / $85 non-members
