April 7-20, 2019 | From wetlands, coastline, and desert to the High Atlas, Morocco has a great deal to offer.

Morocco

April 7-20, 2019

From wetlands, coastline, and desert to the remote High Atlas mountains, Morocco has a great deal to offer. Our timing for this trip will be impeccable as many species will be nesting and there will still be some spring migration. We will also have plenty of opportunities to explore the fascinating culture and enjoy the wonderful gastronomy, including a full day in Marrakech where we will visit the Djemaa el Fna market.

The wetlands will be teeming with life, including must-see species like the White-headed Duck, Marbled Duck and Red-knobbed Coot at Sidi Boughaba National Park. Near Tamri we will be visiting one of the last viable populations of the critically endangered Northern Bald Ibis.

The rugged High Atlas around Oukaimeden are always a highlight of every Morocco trip. There we will be looking for mountain species such as Moussier's Redstart, Alpine Accentor and Crimson-winged Finch. We may even get a glimpse of the enigmatic Lammergeier

Some of the desert species like the Greater Hoopoe Lark and Cream-colored Courser will be breeding in April. We'll have good chances of seeing Crowned and Spotted Sandgrouse, Houbara Bustard, Lanner Falcon, and several species of lark and wheatear.

Come join us in Morocco for a whole lot of fun!
